a Doctor Moustache (as he called himself on social media at the time) at a conference in Berlin. One fine afternoon, he walked past the window of a photo store and spotted HER. The best camera on
the most beautiful woman in the store. “Can she do anything?” he asked, pointing at the camera. “It's great!” she said, beaming at him. They looked deep into each other's eyes and kept their
focus. The rest is history. She fell in love with his moustache and became his Schnurrberta. He fell in love with her camera and now carries it after her everywhere. And if they haven't died,
then they are still taking photos today; no longer solo, but as a team.

Friedemann
Hello, I'm Friedemann, a.k.a Dr. Moustache, your wedding photographer and videographer with a moustache and a doctorate. Specializing in wedding reportages, I combine the precision of a scientist with the attention of a reportage photographer for the special moment. On the other hand, I love getting to know people and their stories, and with a decisive portion of empathy I quickly know what you like and how you like to be staged. This makes it easy for me to tell your story as it really is: one hundred percent you.
In the excitement of a wedding celebration, I prefer to be part of the action. This allows me to authentically and naturally capture both the motifs and the atmosphere with that certain something for you. My motivation is always the same, even after hours: the next motif should be the best of the day.
Miriam
Hi, I'm Miriam. As a documentary filmmaker, I'm used to putting personal stories in the right light. So I will also notice the little things at your event and manage to bring that little bit of dynamism into your pictures. I can also give you lots of tips and tricks on how to pose advantageously and look natural. I place particular emphasis on creating authentic and emotional images that tell your story exactly as it unfolded on the day.
Thanks to my experience in film directing, I'm able to showcase you in the best possible light, especially in couple shoots and portrait situations. And if a double chin or a flyaway hair should ever find its way into the picture, I am your expert for image editing and individual retouching requests.
Who are we?
Miriam collects clothes (especially hats) and books (especially (psychology) guides, but also “hocus-pocus books”, as Friedemann affectionately calls her esoteric collection. She only really listens to 90s hip hop or oldies that she can sing along to. Her favorite food is sour apple rings, even though she has been vegan for 20 years. She loses track of time when snowboarding or photographing landscapes. French or Iranian arthouse films are her favorite, but she also watches Rocky for Friedemann's sake. She dreams of writing a bestseller and traveling the world forever in a 4x4 camper, or living in a tree house on the beach. Life motto: “You still have to have chaos in you to be able to give birth to a dancing star.”
For Friedemann, the perfect sound experience is pretty much the most important thing. To achieve this, he has at least ten different loudspeakers distributed throughout the apartment. He listens to everything from Radiohead and Prodogy to carnival songs at full volume. He eats some kind of sauce with every meal and is an absolute barbecue sauce connoisseur (“Missisippi” is the very best and was therefore our daughter's second word after “Mama”). He never puts his hands in his lap and is very proud of his funky sock collection. He provides the whole family with vitamins and Omega 3 capsules every day because the health of his loved ones is the most important thing to him (besides good sound). Life motto: “Et kütt wie et kütt und et hätt noch imer jot jejange!”
Team Schnurrbart on Tour
At the weekend, we pack the canned ravioli, our daughter and our smelly alarm system into our motorhome “Gabi” and drive somewhere in the countryside. The best sound for both of us is the drumming of rain on our camper van roof at night. We often come to your wedding with Gabi, so we have the shortest way home via the parking lot after a long day of shooting.

How we work
We capture every important moment without you noticing us. Our way of working is discreet, sensitive and always designed to preserve the natural atmosphere. We photograph exclusively in silent mode, because there is nothing more disturbing at a wedding ceremony than a constant CLICK CLICK. Miriam puts on her flat, squeak-free antique rattling shoes and sneaks through the event and your celebration as unobtrusively as possible on quiet soles. Sometimes only Friedemann's shirt is loud ;)
At the same time, we are open-minded, communicative guests at your party. We love to get into conversation with your friends and families. That's what makes a wedding so special for us; it's a brief immersion into the microcosm of a family that was unknown to us until a few hours ago. We banter with your grandma, know the names of your best friends and your little nephew's favorite dish by the end of the evening. We often stay until the end of the party and have often helped the last guests into the cab.
Sometimes Miriam takes her shoes off completely and walks into a lake, because then your picture will be so much better. Or Friedemann climbs a tree, holds the camera in one hand and waves a few twigs in front of his lens with the other. Maybe Miriam will throw leaves at you at a wedding in the fall or paint a light heart around you at night with a flashlight. Especially when shooting couples, we let our creativity guide us and are happy to experiment. The main thing is that your pictures and videos are not run-of-the-mill.
Do you want to get married in a tunnel in complete darkness with just a few candles? Or a sharp picture of you whizzing past us in your red Ford Mustang? No problem. With our experience and professional equipment, we are equipped for any situation. It's not for nothing that Friedemann spends every spare minute reading the tests of the latest cameras and lenses.
